2022 GMC Yukon in Kanata
When you need to carry up to eight passengers in comfort and with plenty of power to spare under the hood, the GMC Yukon is a large three-row SUV that will step up to the plate. Available in both a standard model and the extended-base XL edition, it’s a powerhouse of a people carrier that’s also capable of hauling heavy loads in trailer weight. The latest 2022 GMC Yukon is now available at our Kanata dealership, and here’s why it’s a model that fully deserves a test drive.
Powerful Engine Options
There are two engine options available with the 2022 Yukon, both based around V8 designs to ensure there’s always plenty of power available at a touch of the gas pedal. The lower trim levels are motivated by a 3.5L V8 making a substantial 355 horsepower and 383lb-ft of torque, passed through a ten-speed automatic transmission to either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The result is a powerful and confident drive that never feels like the Yukon is breaking sweat. But if you need even more, stepping up a grade to the 6.2L V8 ups the ante with 420 horsepower and 460lb-ft, taking this SUV into genuinely high-performance territory.
Unmatched Towing and Cargo Capacities
Models with the largest V8 engine are capable of hauling up to 3,636kg in trailer load, a figure that sets other family SUVs to shame. But the Yukon is capable of carrying plenty cargo even without a trailer attached, with the standard models offering 722L of space behind the third row, and 3,480L with the rear seats folded down. Opt for the extended XL trim, and the cargo capacity is boosted even further, with a generous maximum of 4,097L.Infotainment and Safety Tech
New for 2022, the Yukon is fitted with a 10.3″ infotainment touchscreen display as standard, with wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also featured on every model. Wireless charging is backed up by seven USB ports, while the optional rear-seat entertainment system delivers media through two extra screens. And finally, safety tech is equally advanced, with key highlights including automated emergency braking, front and rear sensors, lane keep assist, and a 15″ head-up display as an option.
